Privacy Policy
The short version. Everything you put into Partwork Companion stays on your phone. The app has no account, no server and no analytics. We never see your builds, your photos or your notes.
What the app stores, and where
Partwork Companion keeps your builds, stages, deliveries, costs, problems, journal, notes and photos in a database and a photo folder inside the app's own storage on your device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere by the app.
If you use your device's iCloud backup or iTunes/Finder backup, the app's data is included in that backup like any other app. That backup is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
Backups and exports you make
You can export a build as a PDF, a CSV or a restorable ZIP archive, and you can back up all of your data to a file. Those files are created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. Where they go after that, for example to a cloud drive, an email or another app, is your choice and is handled by that app or service.
Photos and camera
The app asks for photo library access only when you add a photo, and for camera access only when you take one. A copy of each photo you choose is stored inside the app so your builds are complete even if the original is deleted. The app also reads the colours of your build photo, on the device, to pick the colour scheme for that build. Photos are never sent off your phone by the app.
Purchases
The one-time unlock for unlimited builds is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and holds your payment details; we never receive them. To confirm that a purchase or restore is valid, the app sends the App Store receipt to RevenueCat, a purchase-validation service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier, the receipt and basic device information (device type and iOS version), and nothing about your builds. Model library
The library of partwork models is bundled inside the app and updated with app updates. Browsing it does not contact any server. Links to publishers' official pages open in your browser; those sites have their own privacy policies.
Support email
If you email support@pvworks.io, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. The app's "Contact support" button pre-fills the app version, catalog version and iOS version to help us help you; you can delete any of it before sending. We use these messages only to answer you and to improve the app, and we do not share them.
What we do not do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, tracking or advertising identifiers.
- No third-party SDKs other than the purchase-validation service described above.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Deleting your data
Delete a build from its More screen to remove it and its photos from your phone. Deleting the app removes everything the app stored. Files you exported are yours to delete wherever you saved them.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date at the top, and describe the change in the app's release notes.
